Travel Inspiring Movie

Just got done watching The Darjeeling Limited by Wes Anderson. The story is about three brothers taking a spiritual journey on a train through India. The movie had it's funny parts. But the best part of the whole movie was the compositions and camera placements. I'm a sucker for that type of thing. And the detailing was excellent! Great movie for the creative traveler.

Agreed... movie plot itself was weak, moviemaking was above excellent. Lots of wide shots bordering on horizon distortion, along with the ever present dolly work.

I liked the cinematography too. The story itself was simply reinforcing existing stereotypical image of India.

Yep, I thought the soundtrack was excellent, even if the movie's storyline was a bit shaky. I wish the trains I rode in India were like this one - well, the scenery at least.
